Johnson’s Medicated Shampoo is a veterinary product designed specifically for dogs. It’s intended to help clear up scurf (which is essentially dandruff or flaky skin), and to promote a healthy coat and skin. It’s especially useful for dogs with minor skin irritations, dryness, or bacterial issues that lead to itching, flaking, or odor. To use it, the shampoo should be diluted with warm water—about 50 ml of shampoo to 300 ml of water for a medium-sized dog. After wetting the coat thoroughly, apply half the mixture and massage it into the fur, avoiding the eyes, mouth, and ears. Then rinse, repeat with the rest of the solution, and rinse again thoroughly. After drying the dog with a towel, brushing will help restore the coat’s shine.
