At Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd., we take great pride in fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. To celebrate this commitment, we recently organized a special Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Day, filled with engaging activities that reflected our values and the diverse backgrounds of our employees. The day kicked off with a unique olive-picking team-building event, where employees worked together to harvest a total of 432kg of olives! The olives were later sent for pressing, and we are excited to produce our very own batch of olive oil—a tangible result of our team's collaboration and hard work. Following the olive-picking, we gathered for an early dinner featuring a variety of dishes from around the world, prepared by our employees. It was a delightful culinary experience that celebrated the multicultural makeup of our team. The menu included: Colombian Vegetable Empanadas Gambian Yassa Ganarr Italian Amatriciana and a Pistachio dessert Indian Naan Bread with Korma and Basmati Rice Maltese Imqaret (a traditional dessert) All accompanied by the refreshing, classic Maltese Kinnie drink. The event not only showcased the richness of different cultures through food but also highlighted the importance of unity, mutual respect, and collaboration across our workforce. EDI Day was a perfect reflection of the values we cherish at Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd., where every individual is valued and celebrated for their unique contributions.
